Shunt Revision

Come, let us worship the Lord, let us kneel before the Lord our maker. Hope you are all enjoying your day of worshiping the King of Kings today.  This finds us worshiping at Gillete hospital. Victoria needed her shunt to be revised, so we came on Friday and should be going home tomorrow, Lord willing. They will start her on food today, and see how she does with that, as last week, she would throw everything up we gave her.  She was crying alot this morning and they were going to give her some pain meds, but Linda said, let me hold her and see if that helps. Yup, Mommy's arms are the best medicine..settled right down and went to sleep. After having not been here for a year, I am amazed at how many of the doctors and nurses remember us, even go out of their way to come and see us. Oh that they would come to know our Saviour. We have been blessed to be able to stay in the Ronald McDonald house right here in the hospital. Whenever you visit that fine "restaurant" , throw a couple of coins in the Ronald McDonald house foundation...its a great cause. Yesterday I read, to come boldly before the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace to help in your time of need. Thank you so much for doing just that on our behalf. God is good all the time. Blessings on your day. Bruce.

  1. Nathan mentioned Victoria's shunt revision to us, and we've been praying for her and you all. We remember some of our shunt revision days. Praise the Lord for Doctors who can fix what needs fixing, and the Lord who ultimately heals, protects, and comforts us.

  2. Isn't it wonderful that Victoria knows her mommy's arms! I also try to put any change I have in the Ronald McDonald house fund. It was such a blessing to us years ago, and I know it has helped many families.

  3. I talked to mum this weekend and she mentioned you had taken Victoria back to Gillete - I'm so glad you'll be coming home soon! As much as I'm sad you had to go back so soon it warmed my heart to hear that the staff remembers you so well - although that doesn't surprise me at all. :)
    God bless you! Safe travels.
