Signs of Spring!!!

Spring recitals Piano recitals are so much fun!! We are so grateful for our wonderful piano teacher...she has taught us so much. Also we are grateful for our parents who pay for our lessons.

Flip-flops and Bare feet:) The ground has lost most of it's frost and is already getting warm to the touch of human skin(bare feet to be exact:).

The snow is gone in the woods! I Chronicles 16:33 - Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.

Fresh laundry blowing in the wind. John 3:8 - The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Pussy Willows! One thing that is a favorite memory that we have in spring is picking pussy willows. We have such a creative God.

Isaiah 55:12
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Daylilies We have orange and yellow daylilies. These ones are near our house, and add so much to in when they are in full bloom.

Rhubarb! Fresh rhubarb pie is a definite family favorite.
Chives!
Genesis 1:11
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
Genesis 8:22
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Looking back over the last couple of weeks, I think that we almost forgot this promise. I'm afraid that there was even some grumbling heard. God never forgets his promises. Oh, that we would also remember watch our tongues!...Psalm 141:3 Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather!

A Mitton has finally found his Match-part 2

The whole church was so prettily decorated.
The reception area. It was so refreshing to work along side the other ladies in the church. They were very organized.

Melissa S. did such a cute job on this nut figure of Ben and Emily!!
Rachel and Matthew stood at the Guest Book( Marie would have done this, but the place where they put the presents was too high)
Ben seated Mom, Grandma M. and Grandma K.
We were all sooo excited that Reuben could come from Taiwan for the wedding. It was a bit hectic for him though:)
Esther and Kalina did a super job!!

The radiant bride-to-be.
Saying their vows. One thing that was really impressed on me (EJM) during the whole wedding, was the seriousness of coming before God and vowing a covenant to love and cherish another person as long as you live. You have to be sure that the person that you are marrying, is the right one. Once you are married, there is NO backing out!!

Just as
two flames unite
and blend into one,
so shall our lives
unite, and blend to
ascend higher
Let this
be our destiny
to share our lives together
so that we may
with one voice
glorify God
Two lives,
two hearts...
joined together in friendship,
united forever in love.
The whole Krahn family minus, Silas and Priscilla K., and  Aaron and Esther S.

The food for the reception was delicious. It was so fun to help serve at my own brother's wedding!

Let the wheat throwing begin!!

A Mitton has finally found his Match-part 1.

Victoria had an amazing trip on the way to and from South Dakota!! We are sure that God must have intervened in Victoria's behalf to give her a peaceful trip. Believe it or not, we did not take a lot of pictures on our camera. This first post uses pictures from our camera. For the next posts to follow, we will use pictures that other people took.

On Thursday we arrived in South Dakota. Since Dad had relatives that came on Thursday evening, we wanted to get together and have some extra special time with them on Friday afternoon; We thought it was a good excuse to go out to Perkins:) And, we were thrilled that Ben and Emily had an extra half hour to spare to go out with us.

This is the only good picture that we have from the rehearsal. The musicians did an amazing job at the rehearsal and at the wedding.   Furthermore, the rehearsal was made extra fun by having Dad's brothers there!!

Uh-oh, looks like Ben is in trouble from Emily's older brother:)

For this special occasion Rachel fixed Victoria's hair in a french braid. Right here Victoria was doing fine: Though, during the ceremony, Victoria was pretty fussy.  We are so grateful for those who took time to look after Victoria, so that we could have front row seats during the wedding.

Ben got to the church extra early, so he had to stay in a corner and spend time waiting in suspense and agony for the wedding to start:)

As Esther told Ben " This was my first time for me to be a flower girl". She did a great job, and said that her favorite part on the wedding was going down the aisle scattering flowers with Kalina T!! Esther's hair looked so pretty after Melissa S. fixed it. Thank-you Melissa!!

Victoria is so happy that someone is holding her! Also it might be well to note the laugh wrinkles around Mom's eyes. She was (is) soooo happy for the newly wed couple.
